Associate Director of Clinical Governance

Venn Group are currently partnered with a large healthcare organisation in the Manchester area who urgently require an interim fulltime Associate Director of Clinical Governance

The key role responsibilities are:

Essential Skills:

  • Postgraduate qualifications / Masters or equivalent in-depth training and/or significant experience in Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance, Clinical Audit or Governance
  • Having previously worked within a large, complex organisation

Duties:

  • Ability to demonstrate expert knowledge of clinical governance and quality improvement
  • Ability to analyse complex information and provide a range of options to share information to the wider team
  • Ability and experience of delivering highly sensitive or distressing news to patients, relatives and staff
  • Effective in a leadership and management role
  • Substantial experience working at senior management level
  • Experience of working with multi professional staff
  • Senior level involvement in major projects and experience of leadership in respect of quality improvement and/or other quality assurance processes
  • Good strategic knowledge and experience of strategic risk, complaint and incident management processes
  • Evidence of providing specialist governance advice to clinicians and senior managers
  • Experience of drafting policies and establishing compliance processes and procedures
  • Good strategic and operational level knowledge of quality improvement procedures
  • Understanding of clinical effectiveness and audit procedures
  • To be responsible for implementing continuous improvement strategies within the team, and contributing to wider strategic improvement, alongside the Director of Clinical Governance
  • To oversee any transformational change required in current processes to ensure a high and compliant standard of service is being delivered at all times
