We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Client Processing Representative I to join our Pershing Settlements Control team. Pershing provides a broad range of financial business solutions to investment banks, broker-dealers, wealth managers, financial planners, and advisers across EMEA. We provide sophisticated front-end technology and flexible middle office capabilities with execution, settlement, and custody services. These are supported by a robust regulatory and compliance framework with dedicated client asset experience and expertise. This role is located in Liverpool and is hybrid.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

Performing complex operational tasks in a product or functional area. Conducting independent analysis and policy interpretation. Performing complex processing of updates to client accounts or company records.
Executing client requisites in a timely and accurate manner with an understanding of the underlying business and specific client needs.
Maintaining correspondent accounts in accordance with applicable regulations and policies, ensuring regulatory compliance and minimizing exposure related to assigned processing tasks.
Identifying, investigating, and resolving problems in client accounts or company records.
Providing product knowledge and technical assistance, determining when the more complex problems should be referred to a supervisor or senior professional.
Building strong and detailed System and Process knowledge to resolve complex reconciliation issues between systems.
Building and maintaining good relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
Completing root cause analysis (RCA) of errors within settlements departments to identify appropriate solutions. 
Investigating and providing support on client queries when required.
Cross training other team members as required to ensure full task coverage.
Demonstrating Risk Management awareness and escalating accordingly.
Understanding and monitoring the department operational controls and escalating any discrepancies.
Ensuring that procedures and training materials are kept up to date in all aspects of the role.
Proactively seeing opportunities to improve processes.
Responsibility for allocating and checking work of other team members.
Responsibility  for the quality and completion of own work.
Any other duties as required.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

Experience in dealing with clients over the phone and written (email)
Proven track record of delivering excellent client service. 
Ability to adapt to change and use initiative to overcome challenges.
Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
Understanding of International market settlement required
Use of SWIFT messaging software preferred.
Ability to reconcile complex movements in cash and stock against local agents.
