Assistant Production Manager - Food

Swindon

Up to £29,000 per annum plus company benefits

Night Shift - 5 days out of 7 0000 - 0800 (flexibility required)

Evoke Staffing have the pleasure to be working in partnership with a popular local food manufacturer who are expanding. This is a genuinely exciting time to join the company as they venture into new operations.

The role of the Assistant Production Manager will be to provide support in fulfilling production demands including stock control, raw material reception and management, production planning, rotas, staff levels and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To liaise with the Production Manager and to assist them in fulfilment
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standard
  • To manage stock and orders from suppliers; analysing and controlling all stocks including raw materials, packaging and consumables to ensure availability of all supplies to meet customer requirements on time and in full
  • To liaise with Technical Manager ensuring all specifications, ingredients and packaging are adequate
  • To implement new practices and lead the change in manufacturing procedures
  • To establish the weekly rotas and manage staff holidays, along with Production Manager and Shift/Team Leaders
  • To train staff on all aspects of production, alongside with Training and Development plans
  • To ensure the Cleaning, Hygiene and Staff Handbook practices are followed by everyone

To secure this position, it is essential you have previous experience as a Supervisor/Team Leader in a Food Manufacturing environment.
