A Yorkshire based charity that provides specialist care and support to vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Their aim is to provide person centred support that promotes an ethos of caring, participation, learning and involvement for people with disabilities.
Your New Role
As the assistant manager you, along with the manager, will be responsible for the service including line management responsibilities of staff. At times you will be expected to spend all contracted hours on management duties and deputise for the manager in their absence. This will include supervising staff and ensuring everything is reported back to senior management. Whilst working with the people being supported, you will promote their independence and wellbeing whilst maintaining their health and safety in line with assessments, care plans and legislative frameworks.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates for this role will preferably hold a minimum NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. You must have experience supporting people with learning disabilities and managing a staff team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experience deputy manager, looking to developing into a regional role.
