Our client, based in the transport industry, are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a 6-month fixed term contract. Working as part of a small and friendly team you will report into the Management Accountant and will assist to secure the integrity of the financial data. Although this is a fixed term contract our client is part of a larger group which could open up further opportunities. Hybrid working is on offer (2 days office and 3 days at home) although you can work full time in the office if you would prefer.

THE ROLE:
Assisting with month end accounts
Calculating and posting accruals and prepayments
Maintaining and supporting accruals analysis
Carrying out profit and loss variance analysis, and commentary against budgets
Balance sheet account reconciliations
Analysing financial results
Providing support to budget holders analysing cost/sales information
Reporting on periodic numbers
Supporting the Management Accountant

THE CANDIDATE:
Previous experience as an Assistant to Financial Accountant or Management Accountant role
Excellent attention to detail
Proficient user of Microsoft Office packages
Ability to manage competing and strict deadlines.
