A mainstream primary school in Swindon is seeking an Assistant Headteacher with experience as Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join their team in September. Long-term Teachers, we have been entrusted with finding an exceptional candidate for this important role in the schools Senior Leadership Team.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCO) qualification or willingness to work towards it
  • Experience in SEN coordination in a primary school setting
  • Sound knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
