An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Southampton Depot for an Assistant Depot Manager
The role will require some work on weekend days, and you will be expected to join our out-of-hours call out service on a rota basis, to respond to breakdowns.
In return the company provides a package that includes 5 weeks holiday plus the 8 normal bank holidays, with the opportunity to earn up to 1 week of additional holiday based on length of service within the Company. As a progressive company, we also offer the opportunity to gain skills through additional training.
Reporting to the Depot General Manager, an Assistant Depot Manager is required for a busy refrigerated vehicle rental depot. Key responsibilities of the role include managing the day-to-day operations of the spot rental and contract vehicle fleet, achieving depot revenue targets, maximising rental opportunities including visits to customers, ensure adherence to company policies and relevant legislation and regulations, provide out-of-hours assistance on a rota basis, manage cost recharges.
A full UK driving licence is required for the role (preferably with full HGV entitlements). Knowledge of the vehicle rental industry, proven people management skills, and experience of customer service (including direct sales) would be an advantage.
