Assistant Buyer


Ellisonpeople are recruiting for an Assistant Buyer to be based in Blackburn Lancashire.

We are looking for candidates with experience as an Assistant Buyer or related role such as Purchasing /Supply Chain. You will need to have strong organisational skills and works well under pressure. The successful candidate can look forward to an interesting and varied role working with a friendly team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Negotiating terms and developing relationships with existing suppliers as well as sourcing new products
• Placing orders & chasing up deliveries
• Reporting & resolving of damaged or missing deliveries
• Set up of products in the internal system.
• Competitor range & price analysis
• Presenting new ranges to the sales team to ensure that they can maximise sales
• Cash flow forecasting to accounts for upcoming new releases
• Assisting with order processing and product set up for the company’s largest customer

• Experience of buying
• Essential system skills - excel, word & outlook
• • Ability to work well under pressure & prioritise
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to build strong working relationships both with suppliers and colleagues

This position is working Monday-Friday 8:45am-5:30pm.

Holidays - 28 days including bank holidays with free onsite parking.
