We are looking for a dedicated Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to support children with complex learning and additional needs. No previous experience is required. Interviews are now taking place.

We are looking for a passionate and committed Graduate / Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to work at a SEN school near Camberley. You will be supporting children aged 4-19 in small classes of 7-10. You will be working in partnership with the school's teaching staff, therapists and support staff to deliver specific interventions that aim to boost students' learning, development and language acquisition.

As an Aspring Speech and Language Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work alongside qualified Speech and Language Therapist, and deliver interventions to children with speech, language and communicational needs both in small groups and 1:1. You will make a real difference to the lives of the children, gaining vital experience which will enable you to kick-start your future career as a Speech and Language Therapist.

This role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting - career progression routes include SEN Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist and various Child Psychology routes.

Job role and responsibilities of Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist / Graduate:

  • Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students
  • Behaviour and pastoral support
  • Take an active role in forward planning with therapists
  • Ability to build robust and effective relationships with students
  • Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
  • Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
  • Ensure safeguarding of students, in line with procedures
  • Personal care support
  • Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD

Experience is not required, but candidates should demonstrate an interest in working with children with SEN.

**ASAP start / September 2024 start
**Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
**£80-£85 per day, Mon-Fri, 8.30am-3.30pm, PAYE, term time only
**No previous experience is required
**You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
