The primary school is located in Nailsea, and the position is starting from the 15th April on a full-time basis. The school may also consider part-time for the right person.

The role:

  • Supporting the student socially, emotionally, and academically
  • Assisting day-to-day running of the classroom and supporting the teacher
  • Supporting the student 1-2-1 with various tasks and topics

We are looking for a teaching assistant who:

  • Is patient, sensitive and understanding
  • Has excellent communication skills and active listening skills
  • Experience working with children or adults with special educational needs and/or disabilities is desirable
  • A strong desire to support and work with children

The hours will be 8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday, however the school are willing to consider a job share for the right person. The pay is from a minimum of £85 a day, which is negotiable and dependent on experience.
