Area Logistics Optimisation Team Leader

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 plus excellent benefits package

Scania have an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual with excellent people management skills to join the team as Area Logistics Optimisation Team Leader. At Scania, we are continuing to implement our Branch Logistics Optimisation Project with the aim to review and understand how we use our parts storage space and how this can be optimised to increase efficiency levels at our branches. You will be operationally responsible for managing a team who will implement the agreed areas of improvement to meet the business’ needs. 

This position will require travel across the UK to visit our branches. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management and training of the optimisation objective.
  • Take part in the onboarding meetings at each site before any work commences.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective implementation of the agreed plan for each Scania site.
  • Standardise parts storage methods and structure.
  • Ensuring the Autoline system is updated efficiently and correctly.
  • Carry out full stock checks when all optimisation work has been completed.
  • Offer support via coaching to all branch team members on the product placement process and Scania’s barcoding system.
  • Build and develop good working relationship with each branch team.
