The post is working for BT Lancashire Service. BT Lancashire Service is a Partnership between BT and Lancashire County Council. The partnership was established in May 2011 to improve service delivery to the people, schools, businesses and organisations of Lancashire and beyond to ensure best value for money for the County Council. If successful you will be seconded from Lancashire County Council into the partnership.

BT Lancashire Services is looking for an experienced Application Architect to lead and guide our Business Applications team.

The team designs and implements a large and diverse range of Business Applications from Libraries to Coroners, Planning to GIS Mapping, Web and Intranet solutions.

It's an exciting time to join us, with many interesting projects in the pipeline as we work to support our customer's digital transformation agendas. This is a real opportunity to make a difference to the delivery of public services across Lancashire as you will be involved in projects for the County Council, Borough Councils and the emergency services. Current projects include such diverse solutions as ServiceNow CSM platform, libraries systems, housing systems, new GIS platform and many, many more.

On a day to day basis your main focus will be leading a team of people who are responsible for the design, implementation and tailoring of off the shelf packages, and the design and development of GIS solutions to meet the needs of our customers. You will be managing a team of motivated and talented Solution Designers and responsible for the line management, professional development, and technical guidance of your team.

In addition to a successful track record of application design and package solution implementation, the ideal candidate would also be familiar with the ITIL Framework, have a good understanding of current ICT infrastructure capabilities, have an understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and have experience of team & people management.

The post-holder will be employed by Lancashire County Council and seconded to BT Lancashire Services. BT Lancashire Services is a partnership between BT and Lancashire County Council.
