Airfreight Export Operator - Aerospace

Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Airfreight Export Operator who has experience with dealing with Aerospace shipments. The company are a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Heathrow area.

Job summary

To work closely with The Export Manager, Supervisor and Head of Aerospace to ensure that we can service Aerospace customer requirements in a timely, efficient and cost-effective way.

To support all department requirements as directed.

Execute customer bookings to high standards meeting customer requirements and encouraging further opportunities.

General responsibilities

Comply with company policies, Keeping up to date with any changes, updated or additions.

To comply with any regulatory or statutory body requirements in the conduct of business. This will include, but is not limited to, International Air Transport Association (IATA), Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and HM Revenue & Customs.

Specific Responsibilities

Develop and constantly review and improve operating processes to execute Aerospace movements.

Work with the team to strengthen our network of overseas partners to support service delivery, maintaining relations with regular communication and review meetings.

Ensure that in-house operating system are utilised correctly to execute shipments, including a strong understand of the accounting and financial processes.

Deliver excellent customer care and management of client’s expectations.

Support the team with general export workload as required.

Support customer requirements outside of normal business hours on any pre-agreed shift pattern.

Comply with UK and international regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance in all actions.

Ensure good negotiation, compliance to contracts and apply commercial awareness to keep the companies best interests protected.

Prioritise your workload and time as agreed with the department manager and supervisor.

Support the development and implementation of all new opportunities generated.
