Are you looking to take your logistics career to new heights? My client is looking for an experienced air imports coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all air import operations, including documentation, customs clearance, and transportation.
  • Liaise with airlines, trucking companies, and other partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Monitor shipments, verify documents and ensure compliance with US customs and other government agencies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and resolving any issues that arise during the import process.
  • Maintain detailed records of all import transactions and prepare regular reports on shipment status.
  • Assist with invoicing, filing, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an air import clerk or a similar role in freight forwarding or logistics.
  • Familiarity with logistics software or transport management systems.
  • Strong understanding of import regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expereince in imports
  • Experience with customs brokerage.
  • Fluency in a second language would be advantages (Spanish, Chinese, etc.).
