Right Now Group are currently recruiting for a Air & Ocean Import Coordinator for one of our clients in the Colnbrook Area. Our client are a well established Freight Forwarder that are looking for someone to join the Import Department.

The role of an air and ocean import coordinator involves managing the logistics and documentation for importing goods via air and ocean transportation. Overall you will be overseeing the import process from start to finish, coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring the smooth and timely transportation of goods via Air and Ocean.

Duties and responsibilities of a Air & Ocean Import Coordinator:

  • Coordinate with various parties involved for the import process, including freight forwarders, carriers, airlines and clients, to ensure the smooth and timely transportation of goods.
  • You will be assisting with handling a variety of commodities which would include but not limited to network equipment, motor vehicles, general freight and the occasional dangerous goods.
  • You will be required to complete customs entries on CDS / ASM Sequoia
  • identify and resolve any problems or issues that may impact the import process such as delays, documentation errors or customs issues, in a timely and efficient manner. These documents include commercial invoices, packing lists, bill of lading, AWB's/HAWB's, custom declarations and import licences.
  • Assisting the team with quotes for potential new shipments and also the invoicing of job files once completed.
  • Dealing with both agent to agent business and shippers direct.

The successful Air & Ocean Import Coordinator:

  • The workload is a split of 75% Air & 25% Ocean - the client are looking for someone that can ideally cover both modes but should a suitable candidate with the right attitude only have experience with AIR, the client are happy to train and develop the candidate on the Ocean side.
  • Must have atleast 2 year's experience with Air Imports.
  • Systems knowledge - Boxtop, ASM Sequoia and CDS would be a massive benefit.
  • Ability to work within a small team and work independently

Additional information for the Air & Ocean Import Coordinator:

Shift: Monday - Friday

Hours: 09:00 - 17:30

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
