This is a really lovely opportunity to join a small, family run business, in a beautiful, rural location, to the North West of York.

The Role

Working for a small, family run business you will be based in a farm office. Whilst there is plenty to do each day, there are spells where you will be working alone and the ability to work comfortably in relative isolation for periods of time is important for this role.

Duties are varied and include general admin tasks such as answering the phone and managing Excel databases. As this is a farm with live stock, there are additional, more industry specific duties such as ordering feed, creating regulatory reports for the relevant legislative bodies. There is a part-time accounts person and the successful candidate will assist them in areas such as payroll and basic accounts as required.

It is a rural location, not far from the A1/A59 but transport is essential. The role is full-time and office based. The office environment is informal and the farm staff do pop in occasionally.

This role would suit a strong administrator with some experience of working in a less formal/corporate environment. Own transport is essential, as it the ability to be able to juggle a variety of daily tasks, prioritising appropriately.

Working hours are 8am to 4pm Mon-Fri.
