Actuary Assistant

Julie Rose Recruitment is looking to recruit a Technical Assistant to work within the actuarial department for a client that tailors financial services to its clients for long lasting business relationships. This is an entry level position but if you have experience with pensions, it would be useful.

Main duties for the Technical Assistant in the Actuarial Team

  • Calculate customer quotes to support customer services
  • Process pension transfer requests
  • Support reinsurance calculations
  • Support product and technical project work

Person specification for the Technical Assistant in the Actuarial Team

  • You would need strong attention to detail and the ability to follow and evidence process
  • Strong personal organisation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Math skills essential - preferable post A-Levels
  • Excel skills essential
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

The successful Technical Assistant will be joining a small team of part and fully qualified actuaries, which has evolved significantly over the last year to meet the needs of this growing business. The aim is to produce a small, high-performing operational team, using technological capital for efficiencies.
