Activity Co-ordinator

We are excited to be recruiting for an Activity Co-ordinator to work within our clients Nursing Home based in Weymouth, Dorset.

Working with the residential home staff you will be required to promote an active and meaningful social life for the residents based on their individual, cultural needs and expressed wishes.
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join their successful team and deliver a programme of activities that entertain, stimulate and fulfil the resident’s needs.

Your responsibilities:
*To plan, organise and develop programmes of individual and group activities in response to the identified wants and needs of residents.
*Consult with residents regarding their social needs and support them to lead a satisfying and stimulating life.
*Arrange for residents to take part in social and community activities inside and outside the home.
*Keep records to demonstrate progress with activity programme and participation.
*Undertake relevant training to maintain professional development.
*Assist in fundraising events in the home.

Requirements of Activities Coordinator :
*A kind and caring person
*NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is beneficial but not essential
*Experience of working in a residential care setting
*Enthusiasm to undertake additional training and progress skills and knowledge in Care

The position offers 35 hours per week, working 10am-5pm shift pattern including some weekends, at a pay rate of £9.00 per hour.
