What’s the opportunity?
Due to rapid expansion a new role in the accounts team has arisen. This is a varied role with great opportunities to expand your knowledge in all aspects of the accounts function.
You will initially be responsible for predominately the Purchase Ledger function of the business ensuring all invoices and expenses are checked, authorised and posted in a timely and accurate manner. You will be overseen by the Internal Accountant and Assistant Accountant.
In the future there will also be opportunities to support the Internal Accountant in Year End Accounts, budget control, general ledger journals, prepayments and accruals, fixed assets and various other ad-hoc tasks.
Overall responsibility for all aspects of the Purchase Ledger function.
Various reconciliations including Intercompany, manual excel ledgers to accounts system checks and balance sheet control accounts
Keeping the company registers up to date and filing mandatory forms including stock transfer forms and confirmation statements
Providing support for the Assistant Accountant in their role.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience within an accounts role
An ambitious and passionate approach to work
A good knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Especially excel)
Experience with accounting software like Xero (Desirable)
An excellent attention to detail
