Accountant

Our client is a prestigious business specialising in the wholesale and distribution of high-quality diamonds and fine jewellery, with its head office based in Israel. We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and solutions-driven Accountant to join their company in a standalone role.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives on improving processes.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver accurate, timely P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reports
* Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
* Monitor variances and recommend corrective action
* Maintain robust cash flow forecasting and funding strategies
* Maintain full compliance with IFRS/GAAP and UK tax regulations
* Identify improvements to align finance with business strategy
* Implement cost-saving measures and track results
* Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process
* Lead and develop a small team of finance professionals
* Audit and assess current accounting systems and workflows

Key Requirements:
* 3+ years in a senior accounting or finance role
* Strong background in auditing and financial process improvement
* Expertise in cost analysis and spend optimisation
* Advanced Excel
* Hands-on Xero experience
* Commercial mindset and strong business acumen
* CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualification (preferred, not required)
