Reed Business Support are delighted to be working with a global leader in insurance, who are seeking an Account Manager to provide exceptional customer service, retain valued clients, and assist Account Executives and Account Directors in expanding their clientele. With integrity, commercial awareness, and a proactive approach, you will become a trusted advisor to our clients, ensuring high service standards are consistently met.


Job Type: Full-time, Permanent 
Location: Ipswich
Salary: ££ Competitive

Duties:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, achieving ‘trusted advisor’ status.
  • Prepare accurate client documents, obtain renewal terms, and provide alternative quotations for Account Executives to present to clients.
  • Handle mid-term adjustments promptly and proactively.
  • Record client details accurately and ensure timely entry onto the system.
  • Handle queries about client policies expertly, whether from the client directly or their insurer.
  • Confirm cover with insurers, process policies, and chase outstanding documentation.
  • Prepare debit notes and summaries of cover, ensuring secure delivery of policy documentation from insurers and checking documentation for accuracy before sending to clients.
  • Address account queries and credit control matters swiftly, highlighting concerns to Account Executives/Directors.
  • Comply with key legal and regulatory policies to safeguard both you and the business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Cert CII/Dip CII qualification is highly beneficial.
  • Deep knowledge of general insurance products, services, and classes of insurance.
  • Understanding of the importance of handling sensitive information and risk awareness.
  • Client-first approach with a diligent and respectful attitude.
  • Ability to identify potential risks and seek advice when necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good planning and analytical skills with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Initiative in both individual and team roles.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
