Account Executive

A new vacancy has arisen in North Yorkshire for an Account Executive to work within the national sales and advisory division of a leading firm of independent brokers based in North Yorkshire. The company has exclusive underwriting and claims authorities on behalf of global insurers throughout England, Scotland and Wales. This role will allow you to identify and act upon new business opportunities, displaying a confident approach, underpinned by a professional level of knowledge of agricultural risks. As part of the role, you will attend networking events representing the company when required. You will attend technical and industry relevant training sessions. Due to the nature of the role, you will cover a large geographical area. Liaising with the company's in-house broking and claims team when required to ensure clients enquiries are dealt with swiftly as a top priority.

To have a broad knowledge of the general insurance sector, with a preferred bias towards agricultural insurance and a broad knowledge of the farming sector. Strong telephone skills and competent computer skills are required. You will be an excellent face to face communicator who is customer focused with strong negotiating and organisational skills.
