An opportunity has arisen with a highly successful, chartered independent insurance brokerage based in Sheffield. They have been a key part of the Yorkshire insurance market for over 60 years and certainly set some standards for quality and service along the way.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to be part of an established, and ambitious broker that will offer genuine career prospects and first rate assistance from their highly skilled support teams. The role is due to a pending retirement and comes with a book that is made up by some excellent businesses across South Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, grow & retain a book generating c£300,000 in income which is available due to a pending retirement
  • Build long standing relationships with new and existing clients
  • Use your already honed relationship building and stakeholder management skills to build and retain a book of commercial insurance clients
  • Apply your networking skills to develop a sustainable pipeline of new business covering a wide range of commercial insurance products
  • Manage a complex portfolio of clients and quickly understanding their specific needs and expectations
  • Drive quality, consistency and accuracy in all aspects of the role
  • Use your excellent communication and client handling abilities to ensure an outstanding client experience at all times

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in retaining business within the commercial insurance industry
  • Ability to cover a large region, utilising your diary management skills to ensure you maximise your client reach
  • A genuine interest in building long standing working relationships with clients - There will be a handover period
  • Broad risk and product knowledge is essential
  • Strong team working ability in order to forge strong working relationships within the business to meet defined goals and targets
  • Experience with Acturis is desirable
  • You will ideally be Cert CII, or qualified by level of experience
