Account Executive (Agricultural Book)

We are currently assisting a leading independent insurance broker who have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive to take up an existing book of Agricultural / Farm clients due to a pending retirement.

A traditional broker who have supported clients within the agricultural sector for over 30 years and within this time they have established a strong team of Account Handlers, Claims Handler and Account Executives.

Job Description

• Retain and develop and existing book of business, made up by Agricultural & Farm based risks
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients and Insurers
• Identify opportunities for product development
• Deliver excellent customer service to clients, offering them accurate, independent insurance advice
• Maintain detailed knowledge of new and existing products and current sector conditions
• Monitor and report on performance against agreed objectives
• Work with underwriters to amend policies where necessary to meet client requirements
• Work effectively as part of the Team - working with Account Handlers, Claims Handlers and other Account Executives to help achieve company goals

Required Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
• Strong knowledge and experience in the agricultural and/or insurance industry
• Computer literacy and numeracy skills

Desirable Skills

• A personal interest in Agricultural related activities would be advatageous
• Enthusiasm to learn and progress through CII qualifications
• Business, financial or agricultural-related qualifications
• Experience with Acturis

On offer is a basic salary of c£55,000, a £5,000 car allowance, a bonus based on retention and new business growth, 26 days holiday, pension, private medical and life assurance. The role can be based at one of their offices in Yorkshire, or from home.
