Location Leicester
Salary £30k - £35k (depending on experience)

Our client - a rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution business based in Leicester is looking for an Accessories Designer to join our team on a permanent basis.
The main focus of this role will be Accessories and Footwear design

The Role:
. Liaising frequently with the wider design and buying team to create and develop the direction of collections each season.
. Building strong relationships with the team and suppliers to achieve the best results.
. Overseeing and working closely with the team in developing each style and all trims ensuring the salesman samples are all developed correctly and arrive in time to meet our deadline.
. Working with the Designers to ensure ranges are on trend whilst keeping to customer requirements.
. Following products through to sampling.
. Liaising with overseas factories.

Skills Required:
. Proven experience in design, product development and range building with strong knowledge of accessories design and footwear design
. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
. Strong communication skills with a passion for the industry and enthusiasm for the product.
. A track record working within a brand, supplier, or retailer.
. Proactive, self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently but also as part of a team.
. Confident in Photoshop/Illustrator in order to present designs
. Highly motivated with excellent managerial skills and an ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
. Computer literate with proficient knowledge on Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel etc.
. Fashion related degree is desirable
. Creative yet commercial eye and have good attention to detail with a desire to constantly improve and move the collection on.

Package

Appointment Type: Permanent
Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm
Salary: £30-£35K (subject to experience)
Holiday 20 Days (rise to 25) + Bank Holidays
Pension
On-site Parking
Full time office-based role 5 days per week
