3 day per week Health & Safety Officer

Leicester (LE5), Engineering company, 24hrs per week

£30-32k (pro rata)+ benefits + car park

Our client has been established for 100 years within the manufacturing automotive industry and is seeking a H&S officer who is happy to work part-time on Mondays and Fridays and an additional day through the week. This position would be ideal for a person who has a career in H&S and love to remain in this area on a part time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all Health & Safety activities on site
  • Maintain accurate Health & Safety records
  • Conduct Risk assessments and audits
  • Develop and implement H&S policies
  • Investigate accidents and incidents
  • Oversee some environmental safety aspects
  • Perform regular safety inspections
  • Generate detailed reports on safety performance
  • Provide training to all staff
  • Make recommendations for improvements
  • NEBOSH (ideally or equivalent needed)
