2nd Line Support Engineer

My market leading client are looking for an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer. 

Working within the IT department the role is to provide 1st and 2nd line support to users of desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile devices, including the maintenance of both Hardware and Software, along with the management and maintenance of the company’s servers and network infrastructure.

The role will also include the implementation of new systems currently in development, as well as taking an active role in the strategic planning and scoping of future development.

The role will include providing both remote and face to face assistant to users spread across 3 locations, maintaining accurate records of issues and resolutions, as well as spotting trends within issues that may require escalation.

• Day to day management of the companies servers including patch management and proactive maintenance routines
• 1st and 2nd line user support calls
• Resource planning and allocation
• Log and document support issues and identify trends and training requirements
• Configure and deploy laptop, PC, thin client and mobile devices to users
• Troubleshot and rectify both Hardware and Software issues
• Application support for both internal and external systems
• Monitor and maintain connectivity to 3 sites across the country
• Proactively maintain the integrity of system and data backups

Ideally MCSA/MCSE or equivalent or qualified by experience in:
• Microsoft Sever 2012 including Active Directory and Group Policy
• Microsoft Hyper V
• Microsoft Exchange 2013
• Microsoft SQL Server 2012
• Microsoft Windows 7, 8 & 10
• Microsoft Office 2010, 2013 & 2016
• Network Infrastructure
• IBM Hardware including Cluster Management
• Cisco Business 300 series switches
• Sonicwall Firewalls and VPN connectivity
• VOIP Telephony
• Sage V22 (2016)
