Pin Point Recruitment are currently looking for a 2nd Line IT Engineer to join a busy IT Department in Team Valley, Gateshead.
-Providing Desktop Support to 200+ users across multiple sites via RDC & Remote Applications (Microsoft Systems)
-Monitoring and Maintaining servers within a VSphere/VMWare & Hyper-V environment running 2003, 2008, 2012 & 2016 OS
-Terminal Server configuration, implementation & Installation.
-Azure AD Services, Office 365 support and configuration. Migration of Active Directory to Azure.
-Full Server migrations from Hyper-V to VSphere environment
-Networking - PFSense & Cisco Meraki. Experience with LAN/WAN. DHCP & DNS
- Remote Applications
-Virtualisation, rollout of Ericom/Citrix Xen App. this will include configuration of terminal servers, feature/role assignment and IP configuration.
-Experience with AD/Forests, applying GPOs - management of groups, users and Permissions.
- Database Skills, A familiarity of functionality within Access/ Itris
- VoIP Systems - Samsung
- IOS Troubleshooting and setups
-SharePoint/OneDrive Skills are advantageous
-Backup Software (Veaam)
-Experience with Firewalls/sonic walls (VPN tunnel protocols)
-Knowledge of the ESXi back end
-Domain Controller configuration
This role will also require basic web editing skills such as a basic understanding of HTML or WordPress.
-Understanding of RAID
This ideal candidate must be able to handle a high pressured working environment, they must have strong communicate skills as well as the ability to manage and delegate tasks to junior members of the department. As well as being able to think for themselves and escalate a task whenever necessary.
This role will also involve managing the company’s website, Social Media and payslip account details.
