The technology arm to the business provides a broad range of IT services to the trust covering desktop, email, clinical/administrative systems, network, mobility, telephony and IT training with an aim of making digital healthcare a reality.


Accountable to the End User Technology Team Leader (Support), this position will hold responsibility for the day to day support of the Trust End User Technology customer base. The position holder will interact with customers remotely and on site and play a large part in maintaining the professional image of the IT department.

Key Responsibilities

- Second level software support service for Windows Desktop Operating System and associated applications including: Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, Outlook client, clinical and non-clinical Trust applications
- Second level hardware support service. For the following desktop and laptop hardware technologies including: Dell, Viglen, Toshiba, HP
- Second level mobile devices support service for Windows Mobile and BlackBerry handhelds
- Supporting the implementation of new End User Technology catalogue items and services and the integration of technologies and services provided by 3rd parties

Key Requirements

Experience as an End User Technology or PC support technician where you have gained in depth knowledge and demonstrable technical skills in the following areas:
- Windows Desktop Operating Systems
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project)
- Desktop and laptop PC hardware
- Printer and multi-functional device hardware maintenance
- Experience using Service Now
- Handheld and mobile devices
- Experience of ITIL
