1:1 Teaching Assistant

Position: Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

Location: School in the Lincolnshire Wolds

Hours: Full-time, 08:30 to 15:30 (term time only)

Start Date: April 16th, 2024

Duration: Until the end of the academic year in July, with the chance of extension into the new academic year

Salary: £90 - £100 per day

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a year 7 student, assisting with their educational and behavioural needs.
• Foster a strong and positive relationship with the student, utilising patience and a robust approach.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SENCO to implement strategies tailored to the student's requirements.
• Encourage engagement in learning activities and assist with academic tasks as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and behaviour, communicating effectively with the SENDCO.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with pupils with complex behaviour is desirable.
• A patient and resilient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle due to limited public transportation links.

Location Accessibility: For drivers, the school is commutable from Louth, Brigg, and Grimsby.
