Exciting New Opportunity! Year 2 Teaching Assistant

Tradewind are working with a warm and welcoming 'Outstanding' OFSTED rated primary school in Barking & Dagenham who for searching for a Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 child with Social and Communication difficulties. This is a rewarding role where you will benefit from building a strong rapport with a young child, acting as a positive role model for children to look up to. Our client school are looking for someone who has at least two years' experience working with children, ideally working in schools or a coaching environment. This would be a full-time, long-term post starting in June 2024 with pay rates between £85 to £95 a day.

For this Teaching Assistant role, the successful candidate must be confident to work with, as well as have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs. A nurturing personality and experience using positive behaviour management strategies is also essential.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children and young people, ideally in schools or coaching environment.
• Have a warm and nurturing approach when working with children.
• Be confident working with children with challenging behaviour.
• Have experience working with SEN.
• Confident leading small group work.
• Available 8.30 - 3.30, Monday to Friday
• Live within commutable distance of Barking & Dagenham.
