£18 - £22 per hour

2.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday

Are you a tutor who has experience with Year 1 curriculum?

Have you got experience with SLD, SEMH and low engagement?

TeacherActive is looking for an experienced Tutor to work 1:1 with an Lower KS3 child in Mexborough. We are looking for someone with SEND experience, who has excellent behaviour management skills. The student is currently accessing a Year 1 curriculum and needs a tutor to help them access a good standard of education outside of the classroom. You will work 2.5 hours per day; 2 hours tutoring and 30 minutes for planning. This an ongoing contract with no end date.

The ideal Tutor will have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • At least 6 months experience within an educational environment
  • Experience working with pupils on a 1-1 basis for KS3 - KS4 pupils
  • A passion for making a difference to young people’s learning
  • Positive behaviour strategy knowledge and experience of helping children self-regulate emotions
  • Understanding and appreciation of working with vulnerable young people in the care system and those with SEN
