We are currently looking for a Good 1-1 Teacher to work on a 1:1 basis with a student with multiple special needs. A calm and patient 1-1 Teacher in therefore needed to work with a Reception age student to ensure they have an enriched education. This position is based local to Edenbridge.
The student has high dependency and is unable to cope in a mainstream setting therefore requires a tutor until they have secured a placement within a special needs setting.
This 1-1 Teacher role requires a fully Qualified Teacher that has knowledge and understanding of complex Special Needs such as ASD, OCD and challenging behaviour.
Can recognise the triggers of epliepsy.
Therefore you must have the relevant teaching qualification and QTS.
You must have experience of the Early Years (EYFS) curriculum.
Experience of working with an EHC plan is ideal and you will be using this to set a work plan for the student is tailored to cater for their needs.
Requires someone who is persistent, calm and adaptable within their role, using various strategies to ensure learning is achieved.
Experience of Team Teach and/or de-escalation techniques could be an advantage.
Progress the student with their needs and move them along with their learning.
This 1-1 Teacher position is 5 days a week between 9am-1pm Mon,Tues,Weds & Fri and 9am-4pm Thurs to start ASAP
This position is subject to vetting and safeguarding procedures including an interview and a full clear and enhanced DBS.
