A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Trainee or Experienced Paraplanner to join a thriving firm of chartered financial planners who specialise in giving advice on a wide range of financial planning areas such as retirement planning, estate planning, protection both individual and corporate and investments. The role The successful candidate will provide technical support to financial planners by way of fund and provider research and suitability report creation. You will assist the advisers in assessing clients’ needs in the short and long term, assess their attitude to risk and help them to create a suitable financial plan for the future. Core tasks will involve: Assessing fact find documentation, attitude to risk questionnaire and advisor proposals, assimilating information to allow a robust financial plan to be put into place. Conducting fund and product provider research, analysing data and making comparisons in relation to investments, pensions and protection. Creating suitability reports justifying each piece of advice in great detail but in terms that are understandable and clear to the client. This role will be fully office based. Requirements This role would suit a financial planning administrator looking to launch their career into a more technical field or a graduate with a degree in a financial related field, with some work experience. Candidates will have exceptional work ethic, enthusiasm and good organisational skills. You will also need an ability to communicate effectively and build rapport. Paraplanner The successful candidate will work closely with Financial Planners in a friendly supportive team responsible for servicing clients’ financial advice needs covering retirement planning, accessing funds at retirement, investments, life and protection. Salary depending on experience and level of qualification - 32,000 - 38,000 per annum. Project Sectors: Being a leading QS Practice they have many interesting projects to get involved with including: multiple place making master plans ( 200 million), the new build of 2 major hospitals, the development of new life science and advanced manufacturing facilities, hyper-scale data centres, amazon logistics hubs, large residential developments, major defence projects for the MOD ( 500 million), commercial office (new build and fit out) for prestigious clients. Moving internationally is also an option once established in the team.&nbsp; The Role The ideal candidate will be working with leading conservators, architects and engineers to make sure the client and contractor deliver the best value for money – advising all parties on the best solutions from a qualitative and commercial perspective. They are looking for individuals with a keen interest and a good knowledge of construction, who possess an outgoing / collaborative approach. Key Accountabilities: Assisting on feasibility studies and writing procurement reports Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client Inputting into value engineering Negotiating and agreeing final accounts Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages Where appropriate, leading a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities Experience and Skills: A proven track record of delivering high quality cost management / quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) Degree or HNC level qualification desired.
