Working at PBS4

What we do

PBS4 is a non-profit social enterprise providing specialist social care for people with learning disabilities whose behaviour can challenge others. We provide services in Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire and Oxford.

We co-produce bespoke support services with people and their families. Our support is underpinned by Positive Behaviour Support by design and is overseen by our senior management team which includes a Learning Disability Nurse Consultant, a Psychology Graduate, and a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, who have all been trained to Masters level in Positive Behaviour Support. Our goal is to understand the functions of behaviours that challenge and increase the behaviours people have to achieve these functions

We have young people and adults with learning disabilities, some of which have autism who we support to live in their own environment and believe in choices and independence.

We have various exciting opportunities and are looking for full time and/or part time staff to join our team of enablement assistants.

We will provide you with an attractive career package including 5 day paid induction. You will be supported by highly skilled teams to meet your mandatory training needs via our e-learning package. There will also be access to other exciting development and training opportunities.

Key to being successful in this role is having the right positive values and attitudes. You will need to be active as this person loves to go out and has an active life!

In addition to supporting this person to go out, your role will involve supporting them to do general day to day tasks and support the person to be as independent as possible and to have the life they want and choose.

The role involves shift work. This may include days, nights and sleep-ins. Generally we offer long days meaning a full weeks work can be achieved in 3 days. We endeavour to provide a rolling rotas so as you know when you are working and when you can have time off.

Our values are: Disruptive, Enabling, Personalised, and Proactive. We aim to provide a bespoke personalised service to each person we support.
