Oil & Gas UK is the leading representative body for the UK offshore oil and gas industry with offices in London and Aberdeen. It is a not-for-profit organisation, established in April 2007 but with a pedigree stretching back over 45 years. Its vision is to ensure that the UK Continental Shelf becomes the most attractive mature oil and gas province in the world with which to do business; its mission is to promote and serve our members’ interests and be the voice of the UK’s oil and gas industry.

 

Industry Objectives:

• To encourage a competitive business environment which enables the safe maximisation of economic recovery across the UKCS whilst meeting the requirements to deliver a net zero carbon economy by 2050

• To secure an enduring future for the UK’s oil and gas industry, in line with Vision 2035

• To manage regulatory and societal pressures, which have the potential to affect the industry’s licence to operate

• To protect and champion the positive profile and reputation of the industry, positioning the industry at the heart of the energy transition
