Accountant

Summary: Join a small housing association as a Financial Controller to run the day to day of finance, making process improvements and being part of the business culture. The Client: This small housing association provides social housing, care homes and supports mothers and children specifically in one part of the organisation. They have plenty to get your teeth stuck into and are open to thoughts, suggestions and ideas to improve the processes and procedures.&nbsp; The Role: Implement and monitor financial policies and frameworks. Manage adherence to approvals framework and taxation compliance. Prepare and produce the management accounts and financial reporting. Produce budgets and forecasts and compare actual versus budgets.&nbsp; Support internal audit procedures and manage the financial system. Provide leadership and guidance on financial processes and procedures. Management of service costs and charges. Responsible for the financial planning using Brixx.&nbsp; Successful Candidate: ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification. Financial Controller

Our Client: A growing charity dedicated to finding causes and treatments to help baby loss. They fund research centres in the UK to investigate and improve maternity outcomes for women and birthing people. The Role: Support in delivering monthly management accounts including: accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, investments, deferred income and adjustments. As well as completing monthly balance sheets reconciliations, ensuring accurate records are maintained Being a trusted business partner for budget holders, helping them to understand numbers and variances as well as assisting with the annual budget process Assist with the production of year end financial statements, preparation of the annual audit information pack and ensure that income streams are reconciled, correction coded and recorded The Successful Candidate: Will have assisted with the production of management accounts, be familiar with budget and forecast processes and had experience in influencing through provision of management information Had experience working in a small finance team, desirably within a fundraising charity Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) &nbsp; What’s on offer? 34,000 - 37,000 per annum depending on experience Hybrid working structure (2 days per week in a central London location) Study support is available

Assistant Management Accountant

Hands-on experience with statutory and management accounts Proactive individual who has experience of process improvement Strong people management skills Organisation St Luke's Hospice is an established charity delivering compassionate care and services for all those approaching the end of their life in the London Boroughs of Harrow and Brent. With over 200 staff and 500 volunteers, the charity has an inpatient unit, provides a range of Home Care services with a specialist community team, offers a 24 hour support helpline, and has 18 retail outlets which supports broader fundraising activities. After a challenging CQC review in 2021, the organisation has successfully undergone a turnaround and they are now commencing a period of transformation to modernise for a prosperous future.&nbsp; The Role The Head of Finance is a critical leadership position within the organisation which will support and work closely with the Director of Finance and manage the Finance team. The candidate will contribute to the achievement of Hospice goals by taking responsibility for the finance function and ensuring that financial goals are achieved by monitoring financial performance on a regular and timely basis and taking necessary action to ensure that all financial systems and processes operate effectively and according to best practice and within agreed limits of authority. The Successful Candidate Full or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, ICAEW, CIPFA, ICAS etc) Hands-on experience producing the statutory accounts, management accounts, budgets and forecasts Excellent attention to detail with experiencing delivery timely and accurate information to budget holders Proactive individual who has experience of process improvement and achieving more efficiencies in reporting Strong people manager who has the ability to change the culture of finance, empowering budget holders in commercial decision making.&nbsp; Empathy of the charity sector and some of the necessary regulatory and technical requirements.&nbsp; We are seeking a diverse range of applications and actively encourage applicants from groups who are currently under-represented in staff.&nbsp; What's on offer?
