Working at Jeesal Group

What we do

The Jeesal Group was established over 30 years ago by Jeeva and Sally Subramaniam, who have dedicated their lives to providing person-centred care for people with learning disabilities.

Their experience of working in and with the NHS and Social Services informed their philosophy of empowerment, equality and autonomy, which is the ethos behind their vision to provide support for people with learning disabilities, in a homely environment. These core values are the foundation upon which the Jeesal Group has grown to make a difference in this field.

In 2010, a second family, the Akman’s, joined Mr & Mrs Subramaniam, and under the company name of Jeesal Akman Care Corporation Limited, acquired the Cawston Park Hospital and Kelling Park sites to add to the existing portfolio of the then Jeesal Residential Care Services and Jeesal Domiciliary Care.

The acquisition of the two sites has enabled the Jeesal Group to expand their services and deliver a full cycle of care for people with learning disabilities.

This now includes:

Residential care in eleven homes across the Norwich and North Norfolk area; a day service, set in thirteen acres, offering a comprehensive range of daily living skills opportunities, meaningful activities, education and horticultural sessions; a CQC, award winning hospital for individual’s detained under the Mental Health Act, requiring assessment, treatment and care and a thriving Staff & Service Development Training Centre, situated in Norwich, providing a full menu of health and social care training.

This partnership and expansion makes the Jeesal Group one of the largest independent care provider in Norfolk for learning disabilities service users.
