Working at Eidyn Care

What we do

We are a family run business, set up to enhance the care already provided by existing healthcare providers, allowing clients to live life with dignity and respect in the comfort of their own homes.

Rebecca, our Registered Manager, started her career in the Financial Services sector, and following the birth of her first son realised that her vocation was helping people and retrained as a Nurse in 2009. Rebecca specialised in Oncology during the last year of her training at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, and after qualifiying with her degree in Nursing she remained there. Working on a busy oncology ward has provided Rebecca with many years of practical experience in delivering care to people who are at their most vulnerable, giving her the skills and insight to realise that helping people to live with dignity and respect at the end of their life was something Rebecca was passionate about pursuing.

In 2011, following the birth of her second son Rebecca changed direction and moved to work at St Columba’s Hospice, Edinburgh enhancing her skills and experience. It was this experience which prompted Rebecca to form Eidyn Care, along with her husband Andrew, to enhance services already provided in the community allowing more people to stay in their own homes when faced with life limiting difficulties. Rebecca recognises the need for people to feel comfortable within their own home environment reducing the pain, stress and anxiety for clients and their loved ones.

Andrew has run his own successful business consultancy for many years, specialising in Information Technology (IT), managing large teams across the world and multi-million pound budgets. Andrew brings to Eidyn Care a vast amount of IT experience ensuring we have the right systems in place to support delivery of care, allowing caregivers to have access to real time information about their clients which means they can focus on their client and provide the best care for them. As Operations Manager Andrew looks after the administration of the business, using technology to streamline the scheduling of the carers and manage payroll and invoices.

Together with our passionate team of caregivers our biggest commitment to you is offering discreet, dignified care in your own home, and this is embedded in everything we do.

Who you'll work with

Would you like to work for a compassionate, dedicated company in a rewarding field of work?
We care as much about our caregivers as our clients.

We know each caregiver personally, and we treat them as individuals. The quality of care we provide would quite simply not be as high as it is without such well-trained, professional and dedicated caregivers working with our clients. We provide full training, and support our caregivers in their work on a daily basis.

This is what some of our team say:

“The most amazing team! Carers care for carers, carers care for service users, management care for us all. Perfect. ??????” Joyce

“I am highly impressed with this company. Great employer, really flexible and approachable attitude. Highly recommended.” – Alison – Supervisor

All new caregivers complete our induction course, and receive regular training and supervisory visits once they have been placed with a client. We are committed equally to our caregivers and our clients and hope you want to come and work with us soon.

The aim of our service is to support independent living and thereby offer our clients a discreet, safe and compassionate alternative to residential care.
