We’re Edrington, the international spirits company and we produce some of the world’s best loved Scotch whiskies, as well as Brugal, the leading premium rum in the Caribbean, and Snow Leopard vodka. We are proud to give back to society in a meaningful way. Edrington's ownership model is unique to our industry, with our principle shareholder being The Robertson Trust – a very special charity. The Trust uses its dividends from Edrington to improve the quality of life for people and communities in Scotland. To date, it has given more than £230 million to charities – making it Scotland’s largest independent grant-making trust. The principal of ‘Giving More’ is also strong within Edrington, with 1% of our pre-tax earnings being donated to charities chosen by employees in our international businesses. Edrington’s ownership model is unique in it’s industry. The company’s principal shareholder is The Robertson Trust, which was established in 1961 but the Robertson sisters who donated their shares in the businesses founded by their grandfather.

Elspeth, Agnes and Ethel Robertson wished to ensure that the family businesses remained active and independent, and continued the support they had given to charities. the Robertson Trust uses its dividends from Edrington to improve the quality of life and realise the potential of people and communicates in Scotland. To date it has given more than £215 million to charities in Scotland and now it is now the country’s largest independent grant-making Trust.
