Our Vision

The vision of Carr Gomm is that we all live in a society where everyone should have the support they need to make choices and to control their lives as citizens. It is the responsibility of governments, organisations and everyone as citizens to help us all achieve this. Carr Gomm can develop and provide its services in a way that facilitates this vision.


Our Mission Statement

Carr Gomm is a person-centred organisation that supports people to lead their lives safely and to do the things they want to do: in day-to-day living, in planning for the future and in realising dreams. We do this by providing support at home and in supported services which are delivered by highly trained and committed workers.

Support work is very skilled, which is why we have teams, training, staff supervision and a strong set of values to guide us. This helps both new and experienced workers. It is exciting, rewarding and challenging work, with an element of doing routine work as well. Workers will need to do personal care for some people and not for others. Some people may need a worker with them all the time, some people 2 or 3 times a day and some less often.

Staff Satisfaction and Career development

Carr Gomm holds the Investor in People Award recognising our continued investment in the learning and development of our staff. Carr Gomm was voted 7th in ‘Best Workplace in Scotland’ at the Best Workplaces Award Ceremony in 2012.

We are an accredited SQA Assessment Centre, we are now prepared to meet the challenge of all support staff being able to register as social care and support professionals.
