Acumen CEDT is based in East Durham with offices in Seahm and Horden. Our main activities are the delivery of Employability and Skills provision. Supporting local people to overcome barriers to employment, enhance their skills and progress into further training or work whilst supporting local employers to fulfil their recruitment needs. Acumen was established in 2003 and since then has developed products and services that address employability gaps for individuals and groups. Our bespoke services include the design and development of courses and programmes aimed at providing individuals and specific groups with the employability skills and knowledge required to successfully compete effectively in the labour market, make informed choices about future progression routes and to build confidence and resilience in people of all ages. Our delivery includes Health & Wellbeing, Information Technology, Emotional intelligence, Employability and resilience projects and information advice and guidance and the delivery of accredited and non-accredited training courses in the local community.
