They are now looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, to join a team working on projects to design circuits and develop software, integrating these into mechanical housings ready for testing and manufacture. THE ROLE Prototyping and Breadboarding. PCB layout design using Altium. Design for CE marking, EMC and Low Voltage Directive. You will take lead of electronics activities related to manufacturing and production test systems. Propose, develop and implement new solutions for manufacturing improvement Test and validation internally and with third-party approval bodies. Working from their manufacturing centre / offices initially. The role has the scope to develop into a hybrid work from home role, once the right candidate has develop knowledge of their business. THE CANDIDATE You could have a City &amp; Guilds or NVQ/ONC/OND/HND/HNC or Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent. You will have proficiency in analogue and digital circuit design using Altium or similar. Any experience programming in C for PIC 8-bit &amp; 16-bit microcontrollers would be highly advantageous but not necessary. Knowledge of Assembler for legacy products is advantageous, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL. Design for manufacture and test with familiarity in modern PCB assembly and test techniques. Senior Electronics Design Engineer

Our client delivers global business solutions in the form of cutting-edge digital &amp; hardware technology for a mobile world, they are leaders of technical innovation and provide truly unique solutions for efficient rail management. Their business ethos is based on consistency, reliability and competence of their products and employees. They now require a Field Service Engineer to join their team. You will ideally live in Harlow, Ware, Hoddesden, Cheshunt, Sawbridgeworth, Bishop's Stortford, Nazeing, Chipping, Chigwell, Potters Bar, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Buntingford, Waltham Cross, Enfield or any of the other towns near West Essex or within a short drive / close by. You will ensure that equipment is responded to, returned to full service and maintained to the highest standard possible whilst achieving relevant contractual SLA’s. THE ROLE Carry out first and second line maintenance on any equipment as contracted and respond and repair ticket vending machine (TVM) devices in a timely manner. Improve performance through training, experience and KPI feedback. Minimise downtime on fault call outs. Assist with the installation or commissioning of equipment as required. Ensure that all relevant working practices comply with the statutory Health and Safety at Work Act and deal with all associated administration. THE INDIVIDUAL To apply you should have experience in a service or field service or site / technical support role, working on electronics, electro-mechanical or PC-controlled capital equipment. Ideally, but not essentially, you will have a technical qualification, such as City &amp; Guilds 224, 236, NVQ / ONC / OND / HNC or HND or Degree in Electronic / Electrical / Mechanical / Systems Engineering or equivalent. You should have strong board level electronics fault finding and service skills. Graduates with practical &quot;hands-on&quot; skills are encouraged to apply. Experience of repairing and installing networked systems, barriers, gates / gating, automatic doors, access control or ticketing / payment machines, note validators, coin mechanisms or fare automation systems is advantageous but not necessary. You may have worked in the Security Systems - CCTV, Access Control or Transportation / Mass Transit - Revenue Collection / Ticketing or ATM, Biometrics or Leisure / Gaming sectors. The Vending sector / Traffic sector, or perhaps a Systems integrator or capital equipment manufacturer or a technical company who deliver solutions to the public sector for e.g., NHS, Police, Local Authorities or Retail sectors. You will work 40 hours (flexible) 5 in 7 days worked - 8.00 p.m. - 5.00 p.m. Monday - Friday &amp; Stand-by / Call out c. 1 week in every month (paid door to door.) Full product training will be offered. You will have a full current UK driving licence. WHY APPLY?
