Founded in 1973, we manage over 9,200 homes, housing more than 20,000 tenants across the East Midlands in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. Additionally, we provide care and support services across the East Midlands. Joiner / Multi-Trades Nottingham 31,175 - 35,313 per annum Our in-house maintenance team offer a wide variety of services including repairs, responsive maintenance, adaptations, bespoke building refurbishments, gas &amp; electrical services, painting and void management. Keeping on top of the maintenance of our vast portfolio of housing is no mean feat, and this is where you come in… We are looking for a multi-skilled Joiner to join our new in-house responsive repairs team, to help us deliver our mission of 'More homes, great services, better lives’. You will be experienced, with relevant qualifications and the willingness to undergo further training and hold a valid driving licence. We need someone who is flexible, a great team player, and above all, fits in with our values. The hours of work are 37 per week, which is usually worked 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am - 3.30pm Friday, with an hour for lunch except on a Friday. The successful candidate will be issued with a company vehicle, mobile device and all power tools will be provided. Mental Health Support Worker Nottingham 22,669 - 23,428 per annum Here at NCHA we have a number of fantastic opportunities for the right people to join our friendly and supportive Care &amp; Support teams as a Mental Health Support Worker based in one of our projects across Nottingham. We offer supported accommodation in a variety of different mental health services based in Nottingham City, from short term accommodation in order to free up hospital beds to longer term placements where people with enduring mental health needs can stay as long as they need. We encourage everyone who lives in our services to have a say in how they are run, and to take part in group support sessions and meetings. We respect their choices and privacy. It is important to note that this is not a 'care’ role and the emphasis is very much on 'support’. You will provide face to face support to people living with mental illness to aid their recovery and tenancy management. You’ll support them to develop their daily living skills, emotional stability and increase confidence. You will encourage service users to maintain positive working relationships with family, social workers and other professionals. You will promote positive behaviour, with a focus on meaningful change in people's beliefs and abilities. Some of our service users need support to address issues around substance misuse, anti-social behaviour, offending and other social stressors which might affect their tenancy management. This can occasionally mean we have to deal with challenging situations in a proactive fashion, liaising with housing, legal and criminal justice teams. Numeracy, literacy and IT skills are essential as you will updating support plans and other important records frequently. Shift Patterns Support is all year round; so you will need to be available to work a variety of shifts across weekdays, weekends and bank holidays. Shift patterns are based around service user needs so our ideal candidate will be flexible. The working pattern is 37 hours worked over a 7 day period. These shifts can vary but generally will be between 8am and 9pm. The ideal candidate is an organised self-starter with computer experience, able to mix face to face practical work with computer-based record keeping. They will be open and supportive to the needs of others, displaying our CLEAR values and having an awareness of the needs of vulnerable adults and able to communicate effectively with other professionals and agencies. Sherwood House is a 19 bed residential care home in the village of Linby, Nottinghamshire. Our beautifully refurbished period home has been fully modernised to meet the varying needs of our residents, including mobility issues, physical disabilities and lack of confidence to live independently. The Role Support you would be providing varies and no two days are ever the same. From administering medications, to writing and reviewing support plans and monitoring residents’ wellbeing, there is no chance of a dull day at Sherwood House. This role also involves assisting residents with personal care. You will also need to liase with other healthcare professionals and carry out various other support activities too. Development Programme Officer Nottingham 33,516 - 37,531 per annum We have an exciting opportunity to join the Development team. If you are looking for a new role in a great organisation with lots of variety, this could be the role for you! The Development Programme Team provides effective financial services to the Development Department along with managing the new build development in accordance with the business plan and grant funding requirements. The Role As our next Development Programme Officer, you’ll play an integral role in assisting with the management of the development programme and delivery of financial service to ensure all the departments objectives are delivered. You’ll work within a small team to deliver full financial and development programme administrative service, including; Preparation of information for insurance and budgetary reporting, Manage and maintain the department’s management database Provide development information for the Associations Treasury management function in respect of long term borrowings Assist in collating data and information for development reporting purposes. Requirements As well as having knowledge of finance activities we are looking for someone with experience in Development administration (or similar field). We are also looking for someone with the below qualities Excellent communication skills Excellent understanding of spreadsheets, databases and related applications to retrieve and manipulate complex data.
