Stock Controller - Days
Shift: 8am to 4pm - 5 days out of 7 - will include working either Saturday or Sunday with day off given in the weekRate of pay: £14.94 per hour(Over time is after 36 hours a week x 1.25)Why Greencore? We produce more than 160 million units per year across 600 different product lines for customers such as Morrisons, Tesco & Asda.What you'll be doingAddress stock issues, ensuring raw materials and finished goods are cycle counted on a weekly basesStock adjustments are escalated to the Stick Team LeaderAbility to count stock accurately, fact finding, fill out detailed reports, interrogate the warehouse management systemBooking of all stock using technology (JBA guns or computers)Rotation of stock to ensure correct stock is used at correct times (FIFO)Receiving and locating deliveries throughout the shift, ensuring stock is rotated so oldest stock used firstPacking products into boxes/trays when received from high care productionUse of ICE printers to select correct orders and print labels that are automatically applied to outer packagingStacking of packaged/trayed orders onto wheels or pallets as they are receivedSetting up of lines ready for production to start - making sure correct packaging/trays/cages are available, correct labels are set up for printingEnsuring tape machines are set up correctly and supplied with tape to keep lines runningFollowing production plans to ensure correct packaging is issued to production for each orderBooking packaging to production on the computer, using Aurora system. Also booking and tracking any extra packaging requiredReceiving and locating of packaging on deliveries, putting deliveries away into storage areaKeeps area clean at all times - Identifies and utilizes down time to clean in, around and under all equipmentAll other duties as assignedAdhere to health & safety policies and quality standardsStorage and locating of goods received into our warehouse areasBooking of stock to prep when transferring stock (using computers or JBA guns)Rotation of stock in areas, ensuring oldest stock is used firstUse of trucks (counterbalance, PPT, reach) is desireableWhat we're looking forAble to read and write in EnglishAbility to work as part of a team to complete orders and store deliveriesBasic level of Maths required (booking different amounts on computer, tracking extra bread issued etc)Great attention to detail (completing traceability paperwork, important to be accurate)Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members.Ability to work under some pressure to ensure lines are serviced and able to run continuouslyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentComputer literacy, including knowing how to use scanners and relevant software programs, such as warehouse management systems (Aurora)Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills to coordinate large volumes of goodsHonesty and trustworthinessThe ability to work effectively under limited supervisionProven experience as order picker or other warehouse positionExperience or license in handling forklifts, pallets jacks and other warehouse equipmentExperience in voice picking systems or RF devicesGreat attention to detailDiligent and punctualGood physical strength and staminaWe're not all the same at Greencore and our differences help us to make everyday taste better for all our stakeholders.
