Reporting into the Head of Supply, we are looking for a dynamic Planning Manager from within the manufacturing industry. This exciting challenge is a pivotal role that will oversee all planning and procurement activities to ensure every customer promise is delivered. We are looking for a Planning Manager to invest in the organisation and drive forward change. Planning Manager Responsibilities: Drive end-to-end planning and procurement activities to support production and customer expectationsDevelop manufacturing and stock strategies, ensuring requirements and capacity planning meet operational and customer needsManage product life cycles, from new product introductions and engineering updates to product exitsOversee production planners to ensure all plans reflect customer requirements and KPIs are metManage stock to ensure customer requirements are metSupervise product transitions and phase-outs with a focus on minimising waste and riskSupport product launches with robust pilot builds, ramp-up plans, and go-to-market executionLead engineering changes on products while maintaining workflow integrityUtilise category code management for stock at risk of obsolescenceDevelop capacity and pre-build plans to optimise workflows for the planning and procurement team and minimise bottlenecksBuild relationships with suppliers to plan for product supply and demandSign off production plansGrow and mentor the planning and procurement team through regular performance reviewsCollaborate with commercial teams to provide accurate availability updates, manage customer expectations, and identify issues Planning Manager - Required Skills and Experience: Possesses considerable experience as a Planning Manager, gained within a manufacturing or planning environmentConfident overseeing stock, working to stock targets and deadlinesManagement experience, capable of managing and developing a teamExtraordinary problem-solving skills, solutions-focused with a proven track record of developing and implementing improvement initiativesExceptional organisation skills, able to manage multiple projects and prioritiesExcellent communicator, able to liaise professionally at all levels and inspire a teamStrong commercial acumenA degree or equivalent in a Manufacturing/Planning Management related subjects would be advantageous but not essential.
