The Reinsurance Claims Adjuster will be supporting in the adjustment/reviewing of Lloyd's, London, and international reinsurance claims within the Lloyd's Syndicate.Your Responsibilities: Marine claims experience is a mustExperience/exposure across other lines of business is advantageous You will examine initial claim notifications, verifying coverage and conducting associated checks for both proportional and excess of loss contracts. Validate and ensure the appropriateness of reserves.Manage electronic claims files and validate settlements within designated authority levels.Develop a thorough understanding of Treaty Reinsurance (Cross Class)Fostering relationships with brokers, legal representatives, and clients.Internally collaborate with Underwriters and Reserving Actuaries.Candidates should possess experience in reviewing and evaluating policy coverage for Reinsurance claims, along with complementary skill sets such as strong communication abilities with both internal and external stakeholdersThorough understanding of the London market as a claims handler. What You Need: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a claims team, essentially to include knowledge of Marine Claims.Excess of Loss required / Proportional Treaty a bonus.Proficient in London Market Systems ECF 2 and IMR. Senior Marine Claims Adjuster London Negotiable Salary + Excellent Benefits We are currently recruiting for a Senior Marine Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a very well-established and highly regarded Lloyd's Syndicate. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Direct and Facultative Reinsurance Claims across a range of classes, including Cargo, Fine Art & Specie, Marine Hull, Marine Liability, Crisis Management, Political Risk / Trade Credit, and Upstream Energy. Key Responsibilities Acting within an agreed claims handling authority and upholding the departmental objectives.Receiving and acting upon first notifications and updates, determining coverage.Taking a fair and proportionate approach towards policyholders.Agreeing valid claims.Establishing and maintaining reserves.Carrying out negotiations with brokers, face to face when required.Handling complex claims through the discovery process to obtaining judgement.
