JOB SUMMARY CDW have a permanent position available for a Senior Logistics Specialist to work as part of our Logistics Function, working alongside customers, partners and other Logistics & compliance professionals. You will be front and centre for CDW to deliver to over 170 countries. You will work alongside a team of Logistics professionals, leading projects, communication to senior stakeholders, escalations, advising, RCA (Root Cause Analysis) management and process improvements. You will support theday-to-daymanagement of courier relationships, and 3PL partners that CDW use globally to deliver to over 170 countries.Identifyingareas of cost saving, and improvements using analytical data. You will help manage the efficient and economical movements of goods both domestically, and across international borders in accordance with organisational policies and in compliance with relevant local, country, and international customs laws. Given the nature of our work we can have regular changes affecting any of the destinations we ship to and as such you will work alongside our Trade Compliance team to update internal documentation and databases as requirements change. Helping to execute on Trade Compliant processes, aligning to domestic and international trade rules, regulations, and laws. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Identify, research, evaluate, summarise, and communicate on potential logistics risksCarry out & log operational improvements identified during escalations, complaints, issues or risksProject lead large customer rollouts and internal logistics led projectsBe the first point of contact for a team of logistics professionalsProduce, manage and improve the departments KPIsAssist in the day to day management of all couriers & 3PL partnersProduce, manage & own the logistics R & I log, keeping stakeholders updated with progressAttend customer meetings to represent the Logistics function for solutions, projects andescalationsFull ownership of dangerous goods compliance across all global entities reporting into the UK businessIdentify & drive continual improvement & align colleagues with any changesWorking with external partners to provide Air, Road, Sea & Courier servicesHandling export & import enquiries and entriesMaintaining and improving the departments technology solutionsIdentify training needs for wider team members SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Advantageous to have experience within IT Industry & within a logistics functionAdvantageousto have experience with Trade & Compliance ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES Demonstrated experience within an International Logistics roleDangerous goods compliance experience (CDW will provide training where required)People focussed with an ability to relate and build strong relationshipsQuality focused with excellent attention to detailMethodical & analytically mindedExceptional problem solving skills & results drivenExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to communicate with logistical & non-logistical audiences in a confident, positive & enthusiastic manner at all timesTolerant and dependable under pressureAble to demonstrate adaptability in response to changing needs, priorities & deadlinesPassionate about your work and making a differenceQuality focused with excellent attention to detailMethodical & analytically mindedExperience and ability to develop and build relationships with a range of stakeholders CUSTOMER FOCUS AND WAYS OF WORKING Each coworker is accountable for their actions and is required to exercise good judgement in everything they do.
