We are seeking a skilled Linux Engineer / Linux Systems Administrator to take ownership of our client's large scale Linux environment consisting of approximately 100 servers. This role will focus on Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations, maintenance, stability and performance, while also contributing to an ongoing infrastructure modernisation programme. Linux Engineer – 6-month contract – London – Outside of IR35The Linux Engineer will play a central role in upgrading servers to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS while implementing stringent CIS Level 2 security standards across a diverse and business-critical environment.The Linux Engineer will work closely with applications—troubleshooting compatibility issues, identifying why hardened configurations break services, and delivering secure, practical solutions.
