Laboratory Assistant
School of Health and Life Sciences Lanarkshire Campus Laboratory Assistant - REQ0000014 Grade 2: £22,681 per annum, pro rata(£19,801.57) Full time: 35 hours per week, permanent, sessional: working 40 weeks over a 52-week period on a pro-rata basis. THE POST - Laboratory Assistant in Biological Sciences Applications are being sought for the post of Laboratory Assistant within the School of Health & Life Sciences with a specific role in Biological Sciences, to support teaching. The post holder will assist the technical staff in preparing and clearing undergraduate teaching laboratories, ensuring that general teaching equipment and glassware are ready to use. The post holder will be required to work closely with the Senior Technician and contribute to the general maintenance of the Biological Sciences laboratories. The successful candidate should have at least 3 standard grades; one of which should be Biology. It is desirable that they have some experience of working in a laboratory and an understanding of health and safety regulations.
